The Lincoln Wellington 5K Race Series is returning for 2026.
Thank you to Lincs Van Hire for their support of the Lincoln Wellington AC 5K Race Series.
The series will be held at Yarborough Leisure Centre Athletics Track, Riseholme Road, Lincoln, LN1 3SP.

2026 race dates:
- 26th May
- 30th June
- 28th July
- 25th August
Start times:
- 1K and 3k races start at 6.30pm
- Memory Mile starts at 7.00pm
- 5k race starts at 7.30pm
The series will be held as usual at Yarborough Leisure Centre, Riseholme Road, Lincoln, LN1 3SP.
The Series is run on a relatively flat, traffic free route, which has resulted in some fast times in the past with the 5K usually being won in sub-15 minutes. The event incorporates a 5K Series, a 3K and 1K Junior Series and a Memory Mile Series (one of only a few mile races run off track in the country).
A £1 donation from ALL entry fees this year will go to the Alzheimer’s Society.
ALL ENTRIES TO BE COMPLETED ONLINE IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE.
The option for paying for the full series is available offering all 4 races for the price of 3. You can also enter single races. There may be limited spaces available for entry on the night so I would strongly recommend entry online.
Numbers are to be collected from the Athletics Track Hub on the evening of the event. (A different number will be required for each race series). Registration will be open from 5.30pm at the hub.
There will be cash prizes at the end of the 5k Series for 1st Male & Female = £100, 2nd Male & Female = £50, 3rd Male & Female = £25. 1st Male & Female Vet 40-49, Vet 50-59, and Vet 60+ = £40. There will also be cash prizes for 1st Male & Female for the Memory Mile series = £60, 2nd Male & Female = £30, 3rd Male & Female = £15. The results are dependent upon running 3 out of 4 races, in the same event, in the series.
There will also be medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places male and female in all events.
Age criteria for series:
- 1K – Under 11
- 3K – 9 and over, U13, U15.
- Memory Mile – 9 and over
- 5K – 15 and over, Senior, Vet
