Will is British Marathon Champion & Manchester Runner-up!

Taking the British bronze last year, and overall 5th place, Will has bettered that this year with the overall silver, and 1st Brit!
Having been dominating this year with club records, age category records, European marathon podiums, and elite start lines across multiple distances, he really is in fine form, with a 5-minute improvement on last year’s #ManchesterMarathon showing that to be true.
Will crossed the line in 2:15:42, bettering last year’s performance of 2:20:06 – an almost 5 minute jump! This placed Will as 1st Vet 40 male, and 2nd of 27,977 who raced.
All this just 10 weeks after his second, second, at Murcia Marathon (having finished runner-up in both 2025 & 2026), where he ran 2:18:33 & 2:18:40 respectively).
Until this weekend, Will’s marathon PB was 2:18:01 from 2022, and yes, you guessed it, from Manchester!
He finished 2025 as the UK 2nd in V35M over the distance, now having moved up to V40M category, this performance puts him top of the UK rankings charts for his age group by over 6 minutes!
