Northern XC Relays Roundup

The Under 13 Girls impressed with their depth and consistency. Team 567 claimed a superb 3rd place in 17:43, thanks to excellent runs from Molly Porter (5:56, 3rd), Hannah Gossiel (6:07, 3rd), and Holly Norris (5:38, 3rd).

The U17 Girls delivered once more with Team 754 backing up last season’s gold medal by securing an impressive silver this time around. The trio combined brilliantly to clock 24:01 for 2nd place, showing real composure and quality throughout. Isla Porter (7:57, 5th) gave the team an excellent start before Mollie Grant (8:01, 2nd) powered them firmly into medal contention. Ellarose Whitworth (8:01, 2nd) maintained the pressure superbly on the anchor leg to secure a well-earned place on the podium.

The Senior Women maintained the club’s momentum with a superb performance that earned a well-deserved bronze medal. Team 228 blended experience and youth to secure 3rd place in 36:44, with Rochelle Harrison (12:14, 5th) getting the team off to a strong start before Faith Taylor (12:13, 3rd) produced a run of real composure and maturity beyond her years to keep the team firmly in medal contention. Natalie Burns (12:16, 3rd) finished the job with a powerful anchor leg, sealing a podium finish for the squad.

The Senior Men rounded off the day in superb style, producing a brilliant team performance to secure a top-ten finish against strong opposition. Team 31 featuring three U20 athletes and one senior showed the club’s exciting blend of youth and experience, finishing 9th overall in 43:04. Shane Robinson (10:34, 16th) got the team away well before the young trio of Henry Samkin (10:33, 10th), Tyler Morris (10:42, 8th), and Emerson Barbosa (11:13, 9th) all ran with maturity and composure to cement an excellent result for the squad.
