Northern Road Relay Championships
Posted on: September 21, 2025 by Ian Boyle Share this postLincoln Wellington athletes braved torrential rain and heavy conditions at the Northern Road Relay Championships in Leigh. Despite the testing weather, there were some excellent performances across all age groups, and the club was rewarded with a strong set of results.
The Under 17 Women’s A team successfully retained their Northern title from last year, delivering another strong and dominant performance. Both the Under 13 and Under 15 Girls A teams also impressed, each securing top-6 placings to underline the club’s depth within these age groups.
Importantly, the Senior Men’s A team secured a vital top-25 finish to book their place at the National Road Relay Championships at Sutton Park on Saturday 4th October. They will be joined by all junior teams, as well as the Senior Women’s squads, ensuring full Lincoln Wellington representation on the national stage.
